Critical Path with Milestones

Question

I have a Gantt chart, with the critical path:

But the last task was meant to be a milestone, so I changed it. Gantt with critical path:

Should this not have a critical path like the previous example?

I also have a problem if I put a milestone at the end of phase I:

I expected a critical through the entire project.

have checked the same scenario from our side in the latest version. However, we
were not able to replicate the reported issue. Tasks can be converted to
milestone without affecting the critical path of other tasks. We have shared
