Character count incorrect when pasting data

Question

If you go into your demo where it shows the character count and type in 1234567890, it shows 10 characters, which is correct. Highlight and copy what you just typed in, the count now shows as 22, it should be 21. Can you explain why the control is showing a count of 22 with this scenario
