.ConfigureSyncfusionCore () crashes app start with preview 14

I updated Visual Studio 2022 to v17.2.0 Preview 2.0 today to get my hands on .NET MAUI Preview 14.  To my dismay, Syncfusion is broken even though I updated all of my NuGet packages to 19.4.56-preview.  I have simply created a new MAUI app, and installed the NuGet package for Syncfusion.Maui.Core and inserted the call to ConfigureSyncfusionCore in MauiProgram and the app will not start.  Simple new Maui project with the Core Nuget package installed and the call to  ConfigureSyncfusionCore causes the following error to occur during app startup:

Unhandled exception at 0x00007FF9DFAB8164 (Microsoft.ui.xaml.dll) in MauiApp1.exe: 0xC000027B: An application-internal exception has occurred (parameters: 0x00000195749DDEA0, 0x0000000000000002).

This is a deal breaker guys... :-(

Hi Stephen,

There are new breaking changes in Microsoft's latest .NET MAUI preview 14 updates, which came with the VS 2022 version 17.2.0. Preview version 2.0 [Release 6.0.200-preview.14.2 · dotnet/maui (github.com)] was released last week. Based on these breaking changes, we will provide .NET MAUI preview 14 compatibilities in our Volume 1 2022 release, which will be available by the end of this month. We will update you once rolled out.

Suganya Sethuraman.

Hi Suganya,

This response is really not acceptable. You know the Maui rollout schedule and had plenty of time to test these issues prior to you updating your most recent NuGet updates.  What you are saying is that I am dead in the water for two to three more weeks to get my hands on things you have indicated are already done.  I can't be held hostage for my development by your inaction.  Figure out a way to roll these fixes ASAP.  They cannot wait until the end of the month to be deployed.

Yes, when working with prereleases and previews, it is acknowledged that things will break.  But, now that I have updated my VS environment to the latest release so I can get access to things that Microsoft has fixed in the Maui base means I cannot do any development on several crucial aspects of my application - one in which I was planning on purchasing your product.  If this is the way you operate - always behind instead of leading, may cause me to look at Telerik for a solution.

Regards,

Steve Miller

Hi Stephen Miller,

We can understand your situation. However, .NET MAUI doesn't have a fixed date for their preview release, they usually release their preview update in the mid of every month. We at Syncfusion release our weekly NuGet on every Tuesday and the version you have used 19.4.56-preview was released on 15 March 2022. At the same time, .NET MAUI Preview 14 was released on 16 March 2022.

Since .NET MAUI is a preview version, there are possible breaking issues in each update. We usually need at least 1 week time to make sure our .NET MAUI controls are compatible with the latest .NET MAUI preview update once it's released. Based on this, we will be releasing a preview 14 compatible version of our controls along with our Volume 1 release in the beginning of next week.

Regards,
Suganya Sethuraman.
