Slow Zoom and Pan

Hello, 


I am currently using fast scatter series for plotting around 10,000 points. The zoom and pan is too slow and causing the usability of the software to be impacted, 


could you please advise me on how to correct this?

We have checked the reported problem “Slow zoom and pan in FastScatterBitmapSeries with around 10,000 datapoints” and we are not able reproduce the problem at our end expect in one case while using series with Adornment. Also, we have attached the tested sample for your reference. Please find the sample from the below link.  
  
  
To improve the performance, please refer the below link. 
  
If still you are facing the problem, could you please share us the code snippet used in your project or if possible please modify the attached sample and revert us with the issue reproduced state which will be helpful us to provide better solution at the earliest.

Hello, 


Thank you for the reply, I have sent a video snippet of the program in question with the laggy pan. However when the screen is made smaller the pan speeds up to having no lag,


how can I make it have no lag on the maximised screen,

Hi Isacc Cragg,

We have checked the performance based on the provided video, in your scenario the rendered dashed line with the help of StrokeDashArray for axis gridline. The StrokeDashArray property of Line affects the performance in the framework level itself. Also, while zoom or pan the chart, axes are updated with dashed line at every time.

Hence could you please check without setting the StrokeDashArray property of chart axis to improving the performance at your end.

We will validate to provide the feasible solution for improving the performance with StrokeDashArray and we will update you with complete details on or before 1st March 2022.

I have removed the dashed lines and the smaller intervals as well, this has improved performance hugely.
