Page Up and Page Down trigger Paging event even if you are on the first or last page

Hello,


I have noticed that if I have a grid with AllowPaging=true and I have a sufficient number of records that I get multiple pages, Page Up or Page Down keys allow me to easily navigate between the pages. However, if I am on the first page and I press Page Up, the Paging event fires and ReadAsync is called on my CustomerDataAdaptor even though there is no prior page.

Whereas the paging component correctly disables the controls to navigate to previous pages thus preventing the paging event from firing if I try to click on the previous page indicator.

Could this please be fixed?

We have validated and considered your query as a bug and logged the defect report “PageUp and PageDown trigger paging event for page navigation without considering prior pages” for the same. Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping us improve our product. At Syncfusion, we are committed to fixing all validated defects (subject to technological feasibility and Product Development Life Cycle) and will include the fix in our upcoming patch release which is expected to be rolled out on or before the mid of March, 2022. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.       
 
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we could not able to include the fix for this issue “PageUp and PageDown trigger paging event for page navigation without considering prior pages” in our mentioned weekly release. But we will fix this issue and this will be included in our upcoming bi-weekly release which is expected to be rolled out on or before April 6th 2022. We will update you once the issue was fixed. Until then we appreciate your patience.

We are glad to announce that, we have included fix for the issue “PageUp and PageDown trigger paging event for page navigation without considering prior pages” in our release(20.1.0.50).  So please upgrade to our latest version of Syncfusion NuGet package to resolve the reported issue.
