Support for KML files not embedded as resources

Hi,

I followed the documentation at  KML Format in WPF Maps control | Syncfusion and saw that KML maps must be embedded resources. I want to display KML files from a REST service. Is there a workaround to show KML files without manually parsing the files and extracting the polygon parameters?

Hi Michael, 

 

The SfMap control currently supports only loading KML files from the resource folder, and we don’t support loading KML files through the Rest service.

thanks for the answer. Is this feature planned, or will it not be implemented? Just to know whether I need to consider a workaround.

As mentioned earlier SfMap control does not have support to achieve your requirement ”Support to load KML files through the REST service”. So, we have logged a feature request for this, and it can be tracked through our feedback portal below.

Please cast your vote to make it count. We will prioritize the features every release based on the demands, and since we don’t have an immediate plan to implement this feature and it will be included in any of our upcoming releases.
