Vue Document Editor

Hello,

Right now I am working with Vue DocumentEditor component and I have some questions:

  1.  Are there any extra features for a premium subscription that are not mentioned here, in the documentation? (https://ej2.syncfusion.com/vue/documentation/document-editor/)
  2. How configurable is this component? Can I add extra buttons in Document Editor? Can I add other fonts than the standard ones?
  3. Is there any way in which images or tables can be positioned independently on the page? For example, I would like an image to be centered in the document, is this possible?

You can find the supported features in Documentation and in demo links. 
 
 
 
Please let us know if you need any further assistance. 
How configurable is this component? Can I add extra buttons in Document Editor? Can I add other fonts than the standard ones? 
 
You can customize the Document editor toolbar, font dropdown and context menu. 
 
But properties pane and other panes, dialog are not customizable.

Is there any way in which images or tables can be positioned independently on the page? For example, I would like an image to be centered in the document, is this possible? 
In documenteditor, we have preservation support for “Positioning of image and table”. Then, don’t have UI level options to positioning the image. 
 
We already logged the feature request for this. We will include this feature in any of our upcoming release.     
 
We usually have an interval of at least three months between the releases. At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features once again and finalize features for implementation based on specific parameters including product vision, technological feasibility, and customer interest. We will let you know when this feature is implemented.

Thanks for the reply. I have two more questions related to Vue DocumentEditor:

1. Is there any API or any possibility to control the SFDT format? For example: add custom fields in the JSON format.
2. Do you have any documentation for the SFDT format?
3. I saw your reply that you don't have yet an absolute positioning for the image or table. But do you have an absolute positioning in the document for any text box or something else?

No, it is not possible to add custom field in SFDT format.

Do you have any documentation for the SFDT format?

 

We don’t have documentation for the SFDT format.

 

Note: We do not recommend the user to modify the sfdt because one small minor issue in sfdt will affect the document loading.

I saw your reply that you don't have yet an absolute positioning for the image or table. But do you have an absolute positioning in the document for any text box or something else?

We don’t have UI options to apply absolution position for image, table and text box.

 

If document contains absolute positioning, it will preserve properly.
