SfDateRangePicker : avoid the presets dropdown and open the popup dialog right away

Hi,

I checked through the docs and tested a bit but didn't find a solution for this so far.

I am using the SfDateRangePicker with presets (i.e. current week / month ...). When a date range was selected that is matching one of these presets, the control opens a little dropdown with all presets rather than opening the fully fledged popup/dialog.

This is a nice feature in many occasions but in my situation, I would prefer to avoid this little dropdown -- instead, I would want to open the fully fledged popup/dialog right away.

How can this be achieved?

Hi Benjamin, 

We have already considered the reported requirement (“While choose the presets need to show the daterangepicker popup”) as a feature at our end and this support will be included in any one of our upcoming releases, before that we will prioritize this feature based on the demands of each release. Also, to make it count, please cast your vote in this feedback.

thanks for your feedback on this. 


Unfortunately, from the linked feature request I can not really validate, whether this needs the requirement we have... (the description there is lets say "pretty small" and the stackblitz is somehow not working for me).

Also I would guess, that nobody else is likely to vote this up due to this circumstance.


So...

  • Isn't there anything I can do / contribute to achieve my requirement without you guys extending the component?
  • What do you think which timeframe means "one of our upcoming releases?


I hope you understand that I am not really "enthusiastic" about this so far.

Hi Benjamin,


Query1: (the description there is lets say "pretty small" and the stackblitz is somehow not working for me).


While user click on the date icon, it will show the presets along with daterange dialog as like below screenshot. If you change the presets (last week/this month) the corresponding presets range will be updated in the calendar.


We have prepared custom sample in Javascript platform, please find the sample for reference. In similar to this sample, the feature will be implemented in Blazor platform.

Query2: What do you think which timeframe means "one of our upcoming releases?


We will consider the feature and implement in the certain release based on the customer request count and priority. So, we will intimate you once the road map has been prepared. We will prioritize the features every release, based on the user demands.
