Can't Edit Document after Inserting Table of Contents

After opening a Word Document and inserting the Table of Contents, the document becomes unresponsive. I can't edit it at all.

We have confirmed the reported issue as bug and logged the defect report. We will fix this issue and include            in our EJ2 patch release which scheduled on Febraury 22, 2022.

We are not possible to include the fix in our latest patch release. We will include it in our next EJ2 patch release which scheduled on March 2, 2022.

We are not possible to include the fix in our latest patch release. We will fix this issue and include it in our next EJ2- patch release which is scheduled for March 9, 2022.   We will share the custom package with fix by March 4, 2022.

Please find the custom package with fix:

Please find the steps to use custom package:

  1. Extract the custom package from above link.
  2. Copy the items inside the folder.
  3. Then go to the sample location and then navigate to the folder node_modules\@syncfusion\ej2- documenteditor\ node_modules\@syncfusion\. You can see the ej2-documenteditor folder.
  4. Then paste it inside the ej2-documenteditor folder.    
  5. Then build and run the project.   

Note: Please don’t give npm install or npm update .it will refresh the whole package.


We will fix this issue and include it in our next EJ2- patch release which is scheduled for March 9, 2022.

Apologies!


We are glad to announce that our patch release (v19.4.55) is rolled out successfully. In this release, we have added the fix for the reported issue in this ticket. But on further testing, we found issues on importing attached document. Currently, we are working on these issues and planned to include all the fixes in our next EJ2 patch release which is scheduled for March 16, 2022.
