Filtering with capital diacritics doesn't work

Hi,

I am using the Grid component with filtering with the "Excel" filter type. The capital letters with diacritics(Á, Í, Ž) are not transformed to lowercase as you can see in the picture below. In the network console, one can clearly see that 'Á' is not transformed. It is accessible on https://stackblitz.com/edit/1gzufd?file=index.ts.

I have debugged the adaptors.js file in ej2 JS. I typed 'ŽAaÁb' search string and it looks like that lowercase function is transforming URL encoded characters, which doesn't change letters from upper to lower case, but it only do this:

'%C5%BDAa%C3%81b' => '%c5%bdaa%c3%81b'

Am I doing something wrong?

Thx

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion support.

We could understand that you are expecting the “Á” to be changed to “á” while filtering. Currently we are validating this scenario at our source and will update more information on January 19th, 2022. Until then we appreciate your patience.

Hi Pavithra,

yes, you are right. Just to clarify, all capital letters should transform to lowercase.
