Bug with list, empty items and backspace

Hi,

There is a bug in the rich text editor component when following the steps I describe below. You can see it in the images I'm attaching. I'm using this sandbox to reproduce it: https://stackblitz.com/edit/angular-sfab9t?file=app.component.html

Steps:

. Add a bullet list at the end of the editor and fill it with 3 items, each one with text.

. Remove the text of the second item 

. Place the cursor at the beginning of the third item and press backspace

What happens:

. The text of the third item is removed

What is expected

. The second bullet is removed and the text of the third item remains


Could you confirm this bug ?

We have considered “Last list item containing the text is removed, with the backspace key action”  as a bug, from our end and logged the report for the same and it will be included in our patch release on 4th January 2022.

Hi Ezequiel,


We have included the fix for the issue “Last list item containing the text is removed, with the backspace key action” with our package version 19.4.40. So can you please upgrade your package to the latest to resolve the issue from your end.

Hi,

I updated to version 19.4.41 and I still see this bug happening in it. I think for some cases it's fixed but still possible to reproduce.


. In the empty editor just add a list with 3 items, one word in each.
. After adding the third item don't press enter and go directly to clear the second item
. Place the cursor at the beginning of the third item and press backspace

What happens:

. The text of the third item is removed

We will consider your report and the fix will be included in our upcoming Volume 4 SP1, 2021 release, which will be scheduled for February 2, 2022.

We are facing complexity in resolving the reported issue in our end. We will include the fix in the upcoming patch release which is expected to be rolled out on February 09, 2022.
