Bugs with EnableAdaptiveUI

Please see this directory:

https://github.com/Mike-E-angelo/Stash/tree/master/Syncfusion.AdaptiveGrid

  1. Load the SLN
  2. shrink window to less than 500 pixels to enforce adaptive mode
  3. Make note of this Template definition

The result of this is that when `EnableAdaptiveUI=true`, and the Template field is utilized, the `data-cell="Column Title"` is not added, resulting in the following display:

9vQNP70[1].png

---

  1. Next, make note of this content: mxrSJKj[1].png
  2. Now, comment out this line.
  3. Refresh page.  Note that the called-out content in the first step is no longer visible.
It appears that when `EnableAdaptiveUI=true`, a `position:absolute` is applied directly to the control as a style rule, and hides content in an unexpected manner.

It would be valuable to have these bugs fixed.  Please let me know if there is any further information I can provide to assist you in diagnosing these issues.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide. 🙏

Great!  Thank you, Vignesh for your attention to this matter.

January works for me, as I plan on deploying in February. :)

Also, to be sure, there are actually two separate issues listed in my report above.  You got the first one (which is more important), but the 2nd one does not appear to be captured.  Can you please verify?

Thank you again for your efforts out there.

Hi Mike,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Query: “It appears that when `EnableAdaptiveUI=true`, a `position:absolute` is applied directly to the control as a style rule, and hides content in an unexpected manner.”

We have validated your query and we are able to reproduce the reported behavior at our end also. We have defined the position as absolute for Grid component to adjust the component to different layout like mobile, tablet etc. From your update, we understand that you are facing issue with this implementation.

Already we have considered an improvement to make the Grid component adaptive to small devices without using JS interop and logged an improvement task â€śRender the adaptive Grid based on small devices and desktop devices without calling JavaScript interoperability” for this requirement. We have planned to implement this feature improvement in our upcoming Volume 4 SP release, 2021.

Along with this request, we will consider your scenario and resolve the reported issue. You can now track the current status of your request, review the proposed resolution timeline, and contact us for any further inquiries through the below link

We will get back to you once the reported query is resolved and release is rolled out successfully.

Regards,
Vignesh Natarajan
