VS2022 ONLY - This application was built using a trial verison

This app builds and runs fine in VS2019 with no Syncfusion licensing issues.

We just updated to VS2022 and when ever we open a window XAML file in the VS2022 editor that uses Syncfusion controls we get the error dialog:

"This application was built using a trial version of Syncfusion Essentiol Studio" etc (see attached image).

We are using Nuget packages with the (valid) license key added in code so do not have Essential Studio installed.

This only happens in VS2022 and not VS2019.

Any ideas what would cause this and how we can stop it happening?

Thanks!

David

Hi David,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Could you please let us know which version of Syncfusion nuget packages you were using?

Recently we had resolved the license alert message displaying issue after debugging or while the Xaml designer page is opened in VS 2022 Preview. It is not occurred in previous versions of Visual Studio.

The fix for this has been included in our weekly nuget release v19.3.0.46 which is released on October 19th, 2021. Also, it is included in our latest 2021 Volume 3 SP release v19.3.0.53 release too and is available for download under the following link.

If you are using Syncfusion nuget packages in VS 2022 and facing this issue, we recommend to upgrade all the Syncfusion nuget packages to v19.3.0.46 or later to resolve this issue

Please let us know if you have any queries on this.

Regards,
Jeyaseelan M
