checkbox does not persist selection after refresh

Dear support,

we are using SignalR to refresh data when edited/added by another user.

We have checkboxes enabled in grid.

Our selections  are lost after the signalR is refreshing data OR when editing/adding data.

-we enabled: EnablePersistence="true" AND persistSelection IN datagrid.

Can you provide a working sample by editing the attached sample(database is included) in order not to lose the selected values after the grid is refreshed?

We have validated and considered your query as a bug and logged the defect report “Selection not maintained while editing with PersistSelection” for the same. Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping us improve our product. At Syncfusion, we are committed to fixing all validated defects (subject to technological feasibility and Product Development Life Cycle) and including the fix in the next patch release which is expected to be rolled out by mid of December, 2021. In this release we have included the fix for the issue “Selection not maintained while editing with PersistSelection”. Kindly upgrade to our latest version to resolve your issue.

dear support,

i updated the sample project 19.4.0.50, as you suggested, but it still does not work.

when editing from another screen, the checkboxes are not persisted.

can you please provide a modified working sample of the above?

Thanks for the patience.

We have analyzed the reported query and we would like to inform you that while assigning the updated data (after CRUD operation) to Grid DataSource property, it is being considered as new datasource and selection is not persisted. Hence the reported issue occurs.   

So to overcome the reported issue, we suggest you to bind data and perform CRUD operation using CustomAdaptor feature of Grid. Refer the below UG documentation for your reference 


We have modified the provided sample and kindly refer the sample from below.
