GridForeignColumn with validation not clearing message with valid selection

Question

Hi

I have a ForeignColumn in a Grid with a Custom Validation. Everything works except that the validation message does NOT disappear when a valid selection is made. Saving the record is ok and clears the message. It seems that it is not the custom validation as only a <GridForeignColumn .. > has this problem.

This can also be seen in the Syncfusion foreign key example below.

The FirstName validation message remains after making a name selection but entering an OrderID clears the message.

I am sure I can wire up an event to work around but this should be inherent behaviour right?

We have analyzed your query and we are able to reproduce the reported query at our end also. Currently we are validating the reported issue at our end. We need some more time to validate the reported issue at our end. So we will update you the further details in two business days (8th November 2021).

We have analyzed the reported query and we are able to reproduce the reported issue at our end also. We have confirmed the reported query as a bug and logged the defect report “Validaiton is not removed properly for GridForeignColumn” for the same. Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping us improve our product. Fix for the defect will be included in our weekly release which is expected to be rolled out by mid of December 2021. We will update you once the release is rolled out.
