Why ComboBoxAdv is not visible in ToolBox of VS?

Hi,

I am unable to see the ComboBoxAdv in the toolbox is VS 2019 and when i check the class found that it is market with [ToolboxItem(false)].

May i know the reason for this? I want to use a light weight combobox and not much happy with the SfComboBox.

Following that, we will not revert the changes and will not consider any improvements or feature requests. As a result, the ComboBoxAdv control did not appear in the toolbox. We recommend using our SfComboBox control because it is currently active. You mentioned that you are dissatisfied with our SfComboBOx control. Could you please describe the issues you're having with the SfComboBox control? We'll investigate and resolve the problem as soon as possible. Based on your updates, we'll proceed further.

Thanks for your quick reply.

SfComboBox is not a right candidate to replace ComboBoxAdv.

Recent issue of scroll bar i have already informed moreover ComboBoxAdv is a perfect candidate where we needs basic combobox functionality and wanted to replace winforms combo.

It there any way to use SfCombobox based on Items collection like classic one?

We have checked your queries and we would like to know that ,as per our previous update we have marked the ComboBoxAdv control to be classic. So ComboBoxAdv control did not appear in the toolbox. Still, you can use the ComboBoxAdv control but we will not revert the changes and will not consider any improvements or feature requests. SFComboBox control offers rich set of features over ComboBoxAdv. For data binding, autocompletion, multiple items selection, UI customization, watermark text, loading custom UI control in drop-down, accessibility, etc., use SfComboBox. Also, SfComboBox has all required features from the ComboBoxAdv.So only we recommended to use SFComboBox control. 

 

Query 1: Recent issue of scroll bar i have already informed 

 

We suspect that you are mentioning the ScrollBar issue reported in the forum 168642 is fixed and  included in our most recent weekly nuget version 19.3.0.45. The reported Nuget packages have been published on nuget.org. The packages can be downloaded from the following link.

Query 2: Is there any way to use SfCombobox based on Items collection like classic one? 

 

In SFComboBox you can bind the list of strings using DataSource property instead of using Item Collection. Please refer the below link for the same.

The reported issue may arise if the installed packages are of different versions. Please make sure that all installed packages are of the same version and verify if the issue has been resolved.
