Community license expiration

I was wondering, I am getting back into your controls as I am now going to use your controls in some commercial products under the community license if there is a way to not error when the license is incorrect for the community license ?

Sending an email would be SUPER AWESOME and then not bother the user.

The reason I ask for this is that I am using CI / CD when possible and I may not know I need a new license key?

Any advice on how to manage this issue when you are a casual developer / one man shop ?

Thanks for any advice you can offer

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion.

Q1) if there is a way to not error when the license is incorrect for the community license

A1) Our license key registration steps are applicable only for evaluators and those who are all use the Syncfusion nuget packages from nuget.org.

If you didn’t wish to register the license key in your application, you can download the licensed installer from your account and you can use that in your application. In this case, no license message will be displayed.

Find below the details to download and installed the licensed version of our installer,

Q2) The reason I ask for this is that I am using CI / CD when possible and I may not know I need a new license key?

If you wish to use the nuget packages from nuget.org, then it is must to generate and register the license key in proper version and community license key registered in your application will not expire at any case. If license key is not properly registered, below license errors will be displayed.

Syncfusion license keys are version and product specific. So, you need to update the license key in your project for every major volume release upgrade only. So, if you are upgrading to any of Syncfusion’s volume release, then you should update the respective version’s license key too.

Also, Syncfusion will have only four major releases (Volume releases) in a year. So, you might have need to change the license key four times in a year.

Refer the below KB article to know about which version license key should use in application,
