Multiple issues found in File Manager component

Hi Syncfusion Team,

We are currently testing the File Manager component and we have found some bugs:

  1. The right click context menu doesn't appear on the entire panel when the current folder is empty. There are certain parts where the context menu appears but this is not ideal as the context menu should appear on any part of the empty page panel when the right click is triggered.


2. Cut/copy/paste/delete is only valid for one action. Afterwards the message below appears.



To recreate the issue, please do the following steps.

  1. Upload multiple files on the root folder
  2. Create a folder
  3. Copy/move/delete one of the files uploaded in step 1. (Using the right click context menu, the drag and drop feature is currently posing a problem for us as I have posted earlier: https://www.syncfusion.com/forums/169382/blazor-app-crashes-when-multiple-files-are-dragged-and-dropped-in-a-folder )
  4. Do an action again similar to step 3. This error message will occur. It seems like the file manager is not recognizing the root folder in the FileManager controller as it immediately assigns the root folder as the D drive.
Please let us know the steps in order to solve these issues as soon as possible.

We have validated your reported query in Blazor File Manager. Please find the details below. 
 
Query 1: Unable to open context menu in empty folder. 
 
We can replicate the reported issue only with local samples at our end and we need some additional time to validate on this issue. We will update you further details on 8th October, 2021. We appreciate your patience. 
 
Query 2: Facing error while performing cut/copy/paste. 
 
We are unable to replicate the reported issue while performing cut/copy/paste. For your reference, we have recorded the video footage of the behavior and the sample. You can find them in the below links. 
 
 
 
Since we are unable to replicate the issue at our end, we request you to share the below details. 
 
1.      Whether you are facing the same issue in the above sample as well. 
2.      Video footage of the issue replication steps. 
3.      Syncfusion package version used in your sample. 
4.      File service provider used in your sample. 
 
These details would help us for better validation and to provide you the prompt solution.

We have validated the reported issue “Unable to open context menu at all the places in empty folder” and considered this as a bug. Fix for this issue will be included in our first weekly patch release of November 2021. You can track the status through the below link.
