Can You Have Asp Buttons Inside A Label?

so what i am trying to do is create 2 arrows -- 1 up 1 down however they must be next to labels in a gridview header

the way they do things here is that all grid view headers are under a single header template with labels inside the template to denote the fields below

they want the fields to be able to be sorted -- i thought about adding 2 buttons with arrows however when i place them in between the label tags they always go to the next line no matter how big i make the label..
