Max/Min X and Y value with Wheel Zoom on Desktop

Multiple questions:

  1. How can I have have a slide bar widget to adjust the min and max values of X and Y?
  2. I am using WheelZooming; I can Zoom in and Out but when I click on the chart, it gets reset back to its full view. I think it may be due to the Min/Max values. How do I capture the max/min values of X and Y after I do a WheelZoom?

Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Peter,

Greetings from Syncfusion. We have analyzed your queries at our end and provided the response below.
Query #1: (How can I have a slide bar widget to adjust the min and max values of X and Y?)
We have analyzed on the above query, and we have shared our SB sample link along with its code in which we have used range selector widget to change the visible range of the chart. We have also attached our knowledge base document in which we have described on how to implement the same.

Please check with above sample and reference links and revert us if you require further assistance on this.

Query #2: (I am using WheelZooming; I can Zoom in and Out but when I click on the chart, it gets reset back to its full view. I think it may be due to the Min/Max values. How do I capture the max/min values of X and Y after I do a WheelZoom?)

We have analyzed your scenario at our end, and we tried to replicate the reported issue regarding the chart gets reset to full view when clicking on the chart after mouse wheel zooming is performed. Unfortunately, the reported issue didn’t replicate at our end. So, we kindly request you to share us with more information in detail on the reported issue as we are not sure on what actions you are performing when clicking on the chart after zooming and also if possible revert us with code snippet part of our Chart widget which your have used in your application so that it will be helpful in further analysis in order to provide the solutions sooner.

Also, regarding this query “How do I capture the max/min values of X and Y after I do a WheelZoom?”, we recommend that you can use the onActualRangeChanged callback event available in the SfCartesianChart to retrieve the axis range values on axis range changed. Also, if you want to retrieve the zoomFactor and zoomPosition values of an axis on zooming, then you can retrieve them using the onZoomStart and onZoomEnd callback event available in our chart widget. Please refer the user guide links below for further reference.
