Hi Peter,

We have analyzed your scenario at our end, and we tried to replicate the reported issue regarding the selection zooming not working properly for fast line series rendered using DateTimeAxis in MacOS platform. Unfortunately, the selection zooming was working fine when tested in MacOS platform at our end. As a result, we have also attached the test sample along with screen recording below for your reference. Kindly please check with the below-attached sample and if possible, kindly try to replicate the reported issue in that sample and revert us so that if it will be helpful providing the solutions sooner.

I have run your sample and it works. However, I can't get it to work in my own app.

Does the chart needs to be in the BODY of a Scaffold to work properly?
can the chart be inside another Widget?

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the revert. We would like to let you know that our chart widget works properly when wrapped inside all the available widgets in flutter and so we kindly request you revert us with your widget tree structure in which you have wrapped the chart widget and if possible, kindly try to replicate the issue with the below provided test sample so that it will be helpful in further analysis to provide the solutions sooner.

Are you able to check if the chart widget 'Selection Zoom' works with the flutter_menu widget?

Below:

flutter_menu | Flutter Package (pub.dev)

Thanks!

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the revert. We have analyzed your query at our end, and we have created a simple chart sample in which we have wrapped the chart widget inside the flutter_menu widget and tried performing selection zooming in the chart. Unfortunately, the selection zooming was working fine on the chart which is wrapped inside the flutter_menu widget. To ensure this from our side, we have also attached screen recording below for your reference. As we are not exactly sure on what scenario, the issue is replicating we kindly request you to replicate the reported issue in the below attached test sample along with replication procedure so that it will be helpful in further analysis in order to provide the solutions sooner.

I download the sample and tested and it indeed is working.

However, I still can't get it to work properly on my side.

I noticed a new thing;

When I first load my app, the chart is working with Selection Zoom.

When I navigate to another section of the app and come back, the chart resets to full chart (zoomed out) and selection zoom no longer works.

I wonder what is causing this?

Hi Peter,

We have analyzed your query at our end, and we tried to replicate the reported issue by handling some navigation routing in the previously provided sample on file menu’s open option to navigate to another page from flutter_menu widget. Unfortunately, the chart’s zoomed state was maintained even after navigating back and forth in the application and selection zooming was also working fine before and after performing navigation in the application. To ensure this from our side, we have also attached screen recording below for your reference.

As we are not exactly sure on what scenario the issue is replicating, we kindly request you to try to replicate the reported issue in the below attached test sample so that it will be helpful in further analysis in order to provide the solutions sooner.
