Keyboard disappears after typing the first letter on Android

I'm using the latest version of SfAutoComplete on Xamarin Forms (latest version) and after typing the first letter the keyboard (on Android) disappears, the list shows all the items starting with that letter..if I want to narrow the selection to entries I have to type again by going to autocomplete control. Am I doing something wrong?.
