Hi Paul,

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support.

Please make sure ensure that the
  1. NuGet package is properly installed in your system.
  2. Check whether any other version specified in the App.config file.
  3. Check the app.confiq file to see if it has been upgraded to the latest version.
  4. If not needed you can delete the app.confiq file
  5. Ensure the all Syncfusion assemblies are referred from same version.
  6. Please check your application assemblies are referred with any hint path
  7. Also You can disable a specific version by setting it to false.
If still, you have to face the issue, kindly share with us the sample (with bin and obj folder) which you have faced the issue. We will analyze and provide a better solution at the earliest.

Thanks & Regards,

Hello Balamurugan

Thanks for your suggestion.

The problem is resolved thanks to you. I removed all references of Syncfusion in App.config and that's it.

I have installed Syncfusion essentials globally on my machine and actually started the project with syncfusion tools from the global installation before updating via nuget.

So, apparently, the nuget made additional reference in the project, thereby throwing exception.

Thanks so much for your usual prompt response

Best Regards
