We suspect that you want to prevent delete action which can be achieved by setting false to allowDeleting property.

 i have put the definition into the eventSettings - but this doesn't work ... see screenshot

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. 

We could replicate the issue with the quick popup that opens on tap-hold. We confirm this as defect and logged the bug report which can be tracked through the following link.
