Opening word document converted to PDF in PDF viewer

Hi. I'm opening a word document that I converted to a PDF using syncfusion in the PDF editor and I can't highlight, underline, or strikethrough any of the text in the document besides the syncfusion water mark at the top. Is this intentional or something to do with the conversion process? Attached is the converted PDF.

I'm also having issues with creating a drawn signature. I'm drawing the signature, then clicking create, and then getting this error in the console.

Hi Vasugi,

Could the inability to highlight or strikethrough text of the converted document be because I'm still using a free version?

Hi Luke,

No. The reported issue “Unable to highlight, underline, strikethrough any of the text in the provided document” is not free version specific. We can highlight, underline the text for all the documents using the toolbar or programmatically in our PDF Viewer. However, currently, we are validating the reported issue with the provided document. As we mentioned earlier, we will update the further details on August 26, 2021.

Vasugi.

Hi Carlos,

We have analyzed further and found that the issue seems to be in converting the document. We have used the PDF.Base library internally for converting the PDF documents. So we have forwarded this to the concerned team. We will update you the further details on August 27, 2021.

Desika

Hi Luke,

We have checked with our internal team and the issue is because of using the Pdfium libraries for retrieving the text contents. We need some more time to validate the issue and we will provide the details on August 31st, 2021.

Hi Luke,

Thank you for your patience. We have validated the reported issue and found that the text content is not available in the page object. We are retrieving the page object using Pdfium libraries. So we have raised the query in the Pdfium forum and we will get back to you once we got update from them.

Vasugi
