Performance issue when loading big amount of data

Question

when loading 7000 rows of data, performance is a big problem:

apply filter, takes more than ~30 seconds
after filtering, change the value a cell, takes more than ~1 minute
often freezes the tab

Chrome browser: Version 92.0.4515.107 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Are there any tips to improve performance?
