Hi Le,
Document Editor container doesn’t have support for access and customize the secondary pane.
So, we are sorry to say that it is not possible to change width of pane and and can’t be move the content to the top menu of secondary pane (Properties pane, Review pane) in Document editor container.
Can you please share your details about your reported scenario? When opening review pane and properties pane, what kind of issue you were facing? Can you please share the screenshot of the issue and share details about use case scenario? That will be helpful for us to proceed further and provide you solution at earliest.

Kurthis Banu A.

Hi Kurthis,
Thanks for replying. The use case scenario is that we want to keep the property pane open so that we can modify paragraph/text properties on the go. Besides that, we also want to enable the track changes function. The issue is whenever you update the document, the track change pane will be opened automatically, stacking on top of the property pane (see a screenshot from the previous post). This creates a problem when the window size is limited (e.g. on a 13'' laptop) and makes it inconvenient to navigate the document. Nevertheless, when I close the popup, it will automatically come back as long as you are editing the document with the track changes enabled.
It would be better if we can add accept/reject changes on the top menu instead of the side pane. Also, it would be helpful if we can step through the changes one by one automatically. See the below screenshot from
Hope this makes sense.
Best,
Le

Hi Le,
We had checked your requirement. We are suggesting use Document editor instead of Document editor container.
Document Editor:
Document Editor Component is used to create, view and edit word documents. In this, you can customize the UI options based on your requirements to modify the document.
Document-Editor-Container Component:
DocumentEditorContainer Component is also used to create, view and edit word document. But here, you can use predefined toolbar and properties pane to view and modify word document.
Document Editor container doesn’t have support for access and customize the secondary pane.
Properties Pane working on context-based switching. whether the selection is in the table at that time “Table Properties Pane “has been open. text properties pane does the same.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Okay, another quick question here.
In track changes mode, when I click the highlighted texts, the track changes side pane will pop up automatically, even when I disabled the track changes function. Is there a way to disable auto pop-up? A lot of times, I just want to modify the highlighted text and the auto pop-up is inconvenient in this manner. Thanks.

Hi Le,
We need some clarification regarding your requirement.
Can you please confirm here highlighted text refer track changed text and when clicking on track changed text, pane gets opened even track changes in disabled(off) state?
Please confirm above based on that, we will check and provide you solution at earliest.

Hi Suriya,
Yes, that's correct. Highlighted text refers to track changed text and when clicking on track changed text, pane gets opened even track change is in OFF state.
Nevertheless, even with track change in ON state, we don't want the pane auto open, as we might just want to make some changes on the highlighted track changed text. In that sense, I suggest making the pane open/close as a manual option, like having another button to control that.
Best,
Le

Hi Kurthis,
Thanks for the quick fix. The show-revision button to show/hide track changes looks good. Some suggestions here:
- track changes button doesn't open or close the side pane; it only enables or disables track changes function
- I would assume show-revision button will have indication whether it's enabled or not like other buttons from the tool menu. When show-revision button is NOT enabled, the side pane will never show up no matter where the user clicks. And, when a user clicks the show-revision button to enable it, the side pane opens.
- When user clicks the 'X' close pane button on the pane window itself, the show-revision button should be unclicked (disabled) as well.
See if the above makes sense. Thanks.
Best,
Le

Just tested the latest release and this might be a bug.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open document editor
- Enable track changes by clicking the 'Track Changes' button and add some text
- Save the document settings and close the browser
- Reopen the document with the document editor
- Disable the track changes (it should be enabled by default) by clicking 'Track Changes' button again
- Click on the highlighted track-change text
Expected Result:
Track changes side pane should not pop up since Track Changes are disabled
Actual Result:
The track changes side pane still opens
Another thing is that I don't see the show/hide track-change side pane button, which can manually open/close the side pane. Currently, I'm using the comment button to open/close the track-change side pane, which is not very convenient.
Thanks.
Best,
Le
