How does one change the background, hover and selected colors of an SfMenuItem in Xaml?

Also, how does one change the background of an opened menu item?

We have checked the reported query  “Need to change the background, hover and selected colors of an SfMenuItem” and found that we can change the background, hover and selected colors of an SfMenuItem by overriding the MenuItem style. But we cannot change the Selection color since the MenuItem displayed as pop up. If we select the MenuItem, the pop up will close. Please refer the sample and Video link for the same.
