iOS like contacts page design and interactions
Hi,
Attachment: how_transfer_contacts_iphone_contacts_675_6345a6d.zip
I have a requirement to display a list of names grouped by first letter of the names like in contacts page in native iOS contacts app. I also need a vertical list in right side of the screen which displays distinct alphabets (A,B,C,D, etc) as shown in the attachment. On Tapping any alphabet on right column listview should scroll to names starting with that alphabet. On Dragging (Panning) finger over the alphabets (A,B,C,D,etc) should also scroll to names starting with that alphabet where the user stops dragging (panning) and lifts his finger from screen. How can I achieve this design and user interactions using SfListView or Any other controls available in Syncfusion?

Hi Joseph,
Thank you for using Syncfusion products.
We have checked the reported query “iOS like contacts page design and interactions” from our side. We would like to inform you that you can achieve the user interfacing using SfListView. You can use Grouping to achieve your requirement and use ScrollToRowIndex method to scroll to the item based on the alphabet on tapping/panning based on your requirement.
Please refer to our user guidance document regarding the same,

Hi Lakshmi,
The sample
demonstrates Jump list based on tapGesture in each of the labels inside indexPanelGrid. How can I implement the same JumpList functionality using PanGesture inside indexPanelGrid?

Hi Joseph,
Thank you for your patience.
We would like to inform you that we have logged a feature request for “Provide support for jump list with toast appearance in SfListView” feature in SfListView. We will implement this feature in any of our upcoming releases.
At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features and identify features for implementation based on specific parameters including product vision, technological feasibility, and customer interest. We will let you know when this feature is implemented. We appreciate your patience until then.
Thank you for requesting this feature and helping us define it. We are always trying to make our products better and feature requests like yours are a key part of our product growth efforts.
You can also communicate with us regarding the open features any time using our Feature Report page,

We will prioritize the features every release based on the demands and we do not have an immediate plan to implement this feature since we committed with already planned work.
Please upvote this feature to make this our priority. While this feature itself is important we will prioritize the features every release, based on the user demands.
If you have any more specification/suggestions to the feature request, you can add it as a comment in the portal and cast your vote to make it count.
