Pivot Table - Custom Sub Total row whilst group expanded

When a group is expanded in the pivot table the sub total information is not displayed, this is not helpful for large groups with complex data.
How do I add a sub total row to the bottom of a group as an additional row whilst it is expanded?

Also, it would be useful to know the number of children within a group to show a total of the rows within this new sub total row.
Ideally, it would also be displayed on the group header whilst collapsed.

Screenshots attached of what I am trying to achieve.

Thanks in advance.

As per the current behavior of the pivot table the sub totals of children rows will be displayed in its parent row which is placed at the top of its children. Please refer the below screen-shot for more information.

We regret you to let you know that adding custom rows in the pivot table couldn’t be achievable.
It would be useful to know the number of children within a group to show a total of the rows within this new sub-total row.
Ideally, it would also be displayed on the group header whilst collapsed.
We regret you to let you know that the requirement couldn’t be achievable in the pivot table because the child information won’t be available when its parent is in collapsed state.

Please let us know if you have concerns.
