Adding a record Above/Below on sorted data

Hi Team,When the Gantt has been sorted (for example, sorted by start date like the screenshot below), the behaviour of adding a record Above/Below tends to be inconsistent and unintuitive.As an example: In the below screenshot, clicking on 'Below' in the context menu and then adding a new task with an earlier start date will add it above the selected record "New Task 3048" (because of the sort, I assume). However it doesn't add all the new records in a correctly sorted way. You can see this from tasks: "New Task 4040" and "New Task 4046" below. They were added in the same way but they are not in their sorted position.Is this a bug or are we not doing something correctly?Our desired behaviour would actually be that the tasks are only sorted when the sort is clicked or during start up. By this I mean that the gantt would not be sorted while editing and adding records and records would be added in their described positions (like Above/Below) even if the dates are out of order for the sort.Thanks

Hi Samantha, 
As per the screen shot we came to know that the StartDate column alone sorted and it is in proper sorted order on and after add action. Can you please sort the Task name column and do the add action, 
Also it is not possible to restrict the sort action on adding and it is a behavior.

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support. 
 
In Gantt, when new records are added after performing sort operation, they will be added in their sorted positions only. This is the default behavior in Gantt and cannot be overridden.

Hi Monisha,If that's the case it is still not working correctly, as you can see in the screenshot above, "New Task 4040" and "New Task 4046" were added and appeared in the position you can see in the screenshot. If they are supposed to be sorted on add then they should be appearing before "New Task 4037" instead of after.
