Scheduler - How to read whether user has chosen to edit/delete a single event or an entire series?

When I click on a recurring event, a dialog pops up asking to change to single event or the entire series. How do I determine which option gets clicked?

I have had a look around and can't find anything in the documentation. I did manage to find a forum post for Angular which was asking the same question here. The recommendation there is to subscribe to the OnPopupOpen/Close events, this would be an ok start I suppose, however the "RecurrenceAlert" only triggers the OnPopupOpen event and the "DeleteAlert" triggers neither.

I also see nothing on the event args that would help me determine which option was clicked. What is the recommended way to do this?

Hi Lee,

Greetings from Syncfusion Support,

Currently your requirement ‘to get current action of the Scheduler‘ is not feasible in our Blazor Scheduler. But we have considered to provide the public method to retrieve the current action. You can track the status of the implementation from the below link.

The method to get the current action will be included in the weekly patch release scheduled on end of March 2021.

Please get back to us if you need any further assistance.

Nevitha

How would the overall process work with this change?

After the user has clicked on Edit Event or Edit Series, I would expect to be notified of this as part of the ActionBegin etc process, are you saying I would need to call this new method in the OnActionBegin handler to get the current state of the scheduler?

Hi Lee,

Thanks for your update.

Instead of ActionBegin event we will pass the current action details in OnPopupClose event. If you need the current action details within ActionBegin event you can use public method we will provide in future. We have added the comments in the feedback to update the details in OnPopupClose event.

Please get back to us if you need any further assistance.

Nevitha
