Small input field on the left side of the control??

App users report that there's a small input field on the left side of the SfMaskedEdit control.

When touching the outer left side of the control, you can set focus and the alfanumeric keyboard is raised to enter values.

Only tested and verified on iOS

Any text can be entered. Is it a bug? What's it use?

We have analyzed your query and checked problem with our simple sample. We are not getting focus or keyboard while touching outside left section in SfMaskeEdit. The sample we tried can be downloaded from the below location.

And we would like to inform you that our SfMaskedEdit implemented based on Entry like behavior. If you still face the problem, please ensure the problem with Entry too.  

 

Since we are not aware of your exact application scenario, we were not able to reproduce this at our end, can you please revert us by modifying the sample based on your application along with replication procedure. Also please share video reference to identify your exact interaction.  

 

This will be helpful for us to provide you better solution at the earliest.

The difference is the left inside from the control. I can't reproduce it with the Entry control.

We have analyzed the reported problem and we already faced this problem and moved the fix in Volume 4,2020 release, can you please check the reported problem with below latest NuGet.

Syncfusion.Xamarin.SfMaskedEdit -> 18.4.0.35.

Please revert us if you have faced this problem in latest NuGet also.
