Smart Tag not showing up and problems with properties

Added the mainframebarmanager to a form and the smart tag is not showing allowing items to be added and the properties appears to be having some problems with some of the items.   Tried reinstalling nuget packages and restarting VS but no improvement.

I believe this may be related to thread 161482 and the fact that VS wasn't allowing targeting of 5.x framework and had defaulted to net core 5.0

I guess that i resolved the problem as i managed determine i didnt mean to be targetting core 5.0 but if this was my intended target shouldnt the functionality work.

Ie.   There is still a problem somewhere.

Query : Smart tag is not working 
 
We have checked the problem  with MainFrameBarMaanager and is already a known internal issue at our end. We have consider it as an feature request and logged a report on this. Please find the feedback link for the same below: 
 
 
But currently we have no plans for this implementation and it would be included in our any of our upcoming volume release. We will intimate you once it get implemented. 
 
Query : NRE crash occured on Font name property 
 
We were able to reproduce this behavior and we have logged a report on this. You can track the status of this defect using the following feedback link: 
 
 
The patch for this fix would be available on 22nd Jan, 2021.

Thank you for your patience. 
 
On further analyzing the reported behavior with MainFrameBarManager, we are facing some complexity like on opening the designer at first time, we were able to observe the error as shown in your screenshot, then again once we try to open the designer at second time, we could observe the FontSize value. So we are currently working on this behavior and need some time to resolve it. So we will check and update the details on 28th Jan, 2021.

Thank you for your patience. 
 
On further analyzing the reported behavior with MainFrameBarManager, as there is no designer support for our Syncfusion controls in .Net core , so only this issue has been occurred. We are currently working on the designer support for our controls and it will be included in any of our release. 
 
So in order to set the font-name property, we recommend you to set this property manually in code behind.

Same Problem seems to exist in VS 2022 17.1.1. I create a new winform project and it doesnt allow me to select the smart tag I am using the advanced ribbon control here.

Hi David,

Currently, in RibbonControlAdv we do not have smart tag support in the net core project. As this feature is not available in our product, we have already added it to our feature request list, but we don’t have any immediate plans to implement this feature. At the planning stage for every release cycle, we review all open features. We will let you know when this feature is implemented. The status of implementation can be tracked through our Features Management System.
