Drag drop not working op iPad Safari

Hi

I cant drag / drop events from the scheduler on iPad with Safari browser.
You can try itself with the basic demo application : https://ej2.syncfusion.com/vue/demos/schedule/default

When i try this on the iPhone with Safari, this works ok.

Also when using Google chrome on iPad it works ok.

So, only on iPad with Safari it doesn't work. I have feeling that a long press not work to drag drop on iPad.

Is there an solution for this ? maybe some configuration parameter ?

Regards
Peter.

Hi

I have tested with the latest version and it didn't work.
But looking further again to the issue, why it's working op iPhone but not on iPad.

I found the issue :
On iPad every site is default opened as "Desktop version".  (Configured globally in Safari settings)
If i click on the "aA" in the url  on Safari and i ask the "Mobile" version then it works properly (also on older versions of your scheduler).

That's the reason why it didn't work also on your demo sites.. the site is rendered in the desktop version.
On all our iPads they are default by iOs? configured to use the desktop version.

Is ther maybe any fix we can add in Meta tags to tell the iPad browser open default in "mobile version" ?

Regards
Peter.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the details.

We have analyzed the reported scenario at our end and let you know that we have planned to provide a new property to determine the device mode(mobile or desktop) at the application end and logged the below feature report. So, using this feature we can overcome the reported problem. It will be implemented and rolled out in our Volume 2, 2021 main release.
