Hi,

i see in you guide that is possible to assign resources to a task.

I would like to know if it is possible to select a resoirce and highlight the task and vicerversa, and if it is possible to assign a resource to a task via drag & drop.

We have analyzed your requirement and we would like to inform you that  in our Gantt control, we can add and customize the resources at load time only.

We don't have grid editing support for resources. Also, there is no possibility to provide interaction support for resources.

Query 1:  can i do the interaction below described between two GantView with the events MouseLeftButtonDown and Drag&Drop event?

We have analysed the reported query, and we suspect that your requirement is to do drag interaction between resources by using the MouseLeftButtonDown and Drag&Drop events. As we informed earlier there is no possibility to provide interaction support for resources.

If your requirement different from this, please give more details about your requirement that would be helpful for us to give correct solution to you.

Query 2:  I see that the Gantt view have the controls, is it possible to hide one of them

We have suspect that your requirement is to hide the grid view and chart view. We can hide the grid view by setting the GridWidth value to 0, similarly hide the chart view by setting the 0 to ChartWidth.

Hi,

regarding the first query i explain better wich is our goal.

First example, i select the resource on the gantt and then on the other gantt, where there are tasks, select the connected task  and highlight it. I will do this operation  by forcing the selecteditems in the behind code.

The second one, from the resources gantt  drag the item to the task gantt and use the drop event to add the resources to the task.

I hope now is more clear then before.

We don't have support for select and highlight the items from one Gantt to another Gantt.

Query 2:  from the resources gantt  drag the item to the task gantt and use the drop event to add the resources to the task.

In Gantt control we have added the resource in the Textbox only, So we can't drag the resource from one task to another task.



Query 3:  Is it possible to move itmes in the Grid with drag & drop?

We don’t have support for this. So, we already considered “Drag and drop rows in Gantt control” as a feature and logged this as a feature request, and you can track the status of this feature implementation through the below link

We are closing this incident and we do not have an immediate plan to implement this feature since we committed with already planned work. So, this feature will be available in any of our upcoming releases.
