Pagination in Rich Text Editor Control

Hello
I use Rich Text Editor Control to get text from the user
It is very important for me to be able to paginate. Similar to Word in Microsoft Office
How to show pagination to the user. In any way possible with css or js or ...
Can such a thing be done?

I do not want to use the document editor (because I save the code it creates in the editor in the database)

Hi Yeadam,

Greetings from Syncfusion support,

We are currently checking the possibilities, of implementing the paging in Rich Text Editor from application end. We will update you with further details, in two business days by 9th December.

Very good and happy news. Thank you very much
I worked with the tools of different companies and unfortunately this was not possible in any of them and I was looking for this feature. Surely, if you create this feature, you will have a distinct option and you will be better received.

Hi Yeadam,

Good day to you,

We have further validated on the reported query. We have achieved a minimal pagination behavior in the Rich Text Editor, based on the scroll height of the editor from application end. We have also prepared a sample that tries to meet your requirements.

In the below sample the following are configured:

  • Binded the key keydown and mousedown event for the editor.
  • Dynamic page breaker element, is created in the method addLineBreak().
  • If the scroll height(200) exceeds in the editor (when pressing enter key or with large content) new page break will be introduced.
  • Same behavior occurs for multiple page breaks, created at certain intervals.

Can you please check the above sample and let us know if it meets your requirements ?

Regards,
Indrajith

Hello

I tested this sample. My real opinion is that your work was more like a joke than a basic one. I'm sorry to say this, but it was very bad.

A page separator that moves and has no fixed space at all. Obviously not an interesting thing.

I say to suggest because you are a good and professional team

It would be great if you could complete this.

The page separator is not removable by the user. Because it is supposed to show the end points of the page. Similar to what is going to happen in print on paper.

A real example of this is Microsoft Word or your Document Editor.

Hi Yeadam,

Good day to you,

Currently, with the Rich text Editor architecture we couldn’t achieve the entire functionality of the pagination behavior from application end. We have considered “Pagination support for the Rich Text Editor” as an feature request from our end, and the feature will be included with any of our upcoming releases.

You can now track the current status of the report, review the proposed resolution timeline, and contact us for any further inquiries through this link: https://www.syncfusion.com/feedback/20498/
