sfdatagrid editor selection behavior

Hello Forum Users,

I'm using the SfDataGrid control in WinForms and I have the editor selection behavior set to "SelectAll", as shown below.

sfdatagrid.EditorSelectionBehavior = Syncfusion.WinForms.DataGrid.Enums.EditorSelectionBehavior.SelectAll;

I'm having an issue whereby, when I double click into the cell to edit, the entire cell contents are selected, as intended, and the cursor resides at the end of the text. See image...

However, when I press F2 to edit the cell, this does not work. The cursor is in the correct position, but the entire contents are not selected, see image below...

Has anyone experienced this before? And if so, how to resolve?
Am I missing another setting somewhere?

Thanks.

Hi Stoked,

Thank you for your patience.

The reported issue has been fixed and the patch for this fix can be downloaded from the following location.

Recommended approach - exe will perform automatic configuration

Advanced approach – use only if you have specific needs and can directly replace existing assemblies for your build environment
Please find the patch assemblies alone from below location:
https://syncfusion.com/Installs/support/patch/18.2.0.44/1175157/F160284/SyncfusionPatch_18.2.0.44_1175157_12222020084247326_F160284.zip

Please find the NuGet from below location:

Assembly version: 18.2.0.44
Installation Directions:
This patch should replace the files “Syncfusion.SfDataGrid.Winforms” under the following folder.
$System drive:\ Files\Syncfusion\Essential Studio\$Version #
\precompiledassemblies\$Version#\[TargetFramework]
Eg : $system drive:\Program Files\Syncfusion\Essential
Studio\18.2.0.44\precompiledassemblies\18.2.0.44\4.6

To automatically run the Assembly Manager, please check the Run assembly manager checkbox option while installing the patch. If this option is unchecked, the patch will replace the assemblies in precompiled assemblies’ folder only. Then, you will have to manually copy and paste them to the preferred location or you will have to run the Syncdusion Assembly Manager application (Available from the Syncfusion Dashboard, installed as a shortcut in the Application menu) to re-install assemblies.

Thank you. How does this fix affect F160088 (SfDataGrid currentcellvalidation) that I've recently had fixed in the same assembly, i.e. Syncfusion.SfDataGrid.Winforms.dll? Will this change override that one? Are both fixes included in this latest fix, 160284?

Also, in which release will this fix appear?
