Method ResolveToRowIndex() is not available

Hello,

in several posts and how-to´s I can see the method sfDataGrid.TableControl.ResolveToRowIndex.
This is used for example to get the rowindex of a SelectedItem in the grid.

However, I am not able to find this method, it is not available. Does it still exist or is there another way of finding the index?

Thank you.
Michael

Hi Micheal W,

Thank you for using Syncfusion Controls.

SfDataGrid.TableControl.ResolveRowIndex method is available now in Syncfusion.WinForms.DataGrid namespace.

Hello Dhanasekar,

thank you, but I don´t know what you mean.

"SfDataGrid" is the name of my datagrid, from what I like to resolve the index of the record.

However, in Syncfusion.WinForms.DataGrid namespace I cannot find the method "ResolveToRowIndex".

It is nether in the old position, nor in the new position?

Do you have any more tips?

Thank you.

Hi Micheal W,

Thank you for your response.

SfDataGrid.TableControl.ResolveRowIndex method is available in Syncfusion.WinForms.DataGrid and we didn’t change the position.
You can use this method like below,
int index = sfDataGrid1.TableControl.ResolveToRowIndex(2);

We have prepared the sample for the same,

Please refer the below user guide document for more information,

We hope it helps, please let us know if you need further assistance.

Regards,
Dhanasekar Mohanraj.

Hello Dhanaseka,

thank you.

The solution was to additionally reference the Syncfusion.WinForms.DataGrid namespace. One this is done, the method is available at the SfDataGrid.

Thank you for your help, you can close the issue.

Michael
