Annotation is added on the wrong page

Sometimes when you click on the "T" icon in the FORMATTING toolbar and then click on a page of the document, the app puts the text box on the NEXT page. See attached image.  Click on page 7 to add the annotation.  However, the annotation is added on page 8.

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support. 

We were unable to reproduce the reported issue with the provided details. We have shared the sample in which we have tried in the below link, 


Steps: 

1.       Run the sample  
2.       Navigate to page 7 
3.       Click on ‘Free Text’ Icon 
4.       Place it on page 7 


Kindly try it and revert us with more details about your issue with the modified sample and the PDF document, if you still have any concerns. This will be helpful for us to investigate further and assist you better.

Here is how to reproduce this in your example:

1. Scroll down so that the top of page 8 is visible, but the current page is shown as page 7.
2. Click on Free Text icon and then click on the top of page 8

Result => the annotation is added to the top of page 7 and not page 8.

I am doing webassembly client side development, but the problem is the same.

Hi Arthur, 

We have Confirmed that “ Free Text Annotation is added on the wrong page” is a defect and logged the defect report for the same. The fix for the issue will be included in our upcoming  weekly nuget release on 9th  December 2020. You can track the status using the below link

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.  

The fix for the reported issue was not included in our latest weekly release. However, we will fix the same and it will be included in our 2020 Volume 4 release which is expected to be rolled out at the end of December 2020

Hi Arthur, 

We have fixed the reported issue “FreeText annotation is added on a wrong page” and the fix was included in our latest weekly release v18.4.0.31. Kindly upgrade to that version to get the issue resolved.
