"rowAutoHeight" in TimelineMonth View

Hello,

i have a problem with the property "rowAutoHeight". If the property is set to true in the TimelineMonth View, it works perfectly. But if I set the property to false and I have an appointment that lasts until the next day and there is no other appointment except this one, then the appointment for the next day is not shown.

For example, I have an appointment "Meeting 1068" that goes from 8th to 9th February. With "rowAutoHeight" set to true, it works perfect and the appointment is also shown on February 9th. (Another Example is "Meeting 1165")

But with "rowAutoHeight" set to false, the appointment is shown only on February 8th.

How can I solve this problem?

Regards Adrien

Hi Adrien,

Greetings from Syncfusion Support.

We have validated the reported problem at our end and we have to let you know that the functionality of the events rendering order in the Timeline view is that the events are rendered based on its start time and duration. Accordingly, in your event collection, “Meeting 1068” is started at 11.31 PM and another event “Meeti..” is started at 2.16 PM. As per the event sorting process, the event “Meeti..” is rendered first and then the event ”Meeting 1068” is rendered later. But both events are started on the same day. According to rowAutoHeight, the first event is displayed in the UI and the second event is included in the more indicator.

The above sorting process has handled at the source end and we regret to let you know that changing the events rendering order is not feasible at the application level.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

Vengatesh

Hello Vengatesh,

Thanks for the feedback. But the current functionality would not be optimal in a use case where rooms are booked. In this case the user would assume if rowAutoHeight is not activated that the room is not yet occupied. Is it possible to force the desired behavior or maybe at least display the "+n more" button? I am also open for further solution proposals.
