Can Syncfusion open DWG (AutoCAD Drawing) files, edit, then save ?

Is there a control in Syncfusion that can read & write to a DWG file?

I just need to edit some text/labels in the drawing.

If "yes", can you please give an example on how to do it?

Thanks!

Hi Michael,

Yes, in our Syncfusion we have a support for the diagram control. The ASP.NET Core Diagram is a feature-rich library for visualizing, creating, and editing interactive diagrams. It supports creating flowcharts, organizational charts, mind maps, and BPMN charts either through code or a visual interface. In our diagram control we can able to create a node and add text for the node. On double click on node, you can able to add text and edit text for the node. After create the diagram we can able to save and load the diagram.

For more information about how to create a node , please refer to below UG documentation link

We have already prepared a sample in our live demos for how to create node and text for node. Please find the sample in below link

Thank you!

Do you also have sample code for ASP.NET Web Forms ?

Also,  does AutoCAD need to be installed on the development computer and deployment server?

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,

Yes, in the Asp.Net webforms also we have a support for the diagram control. The Essential Diagram ASP.NET creates rich Visio-like applications. Its Framework comprises of many elements that help you to create an application easily. The rich feature set of the Diagram control includes Snapping, Guidelines, Gridlines, Serialization, and Zooming.
