SfKanban - get event args

Hi there,

please provide a very basic example of how to read out the card ID of a clicked card (CardClick).
Please provide a very basic example of how to read out the card ID, the column target-keyfield and the swimlane target-keyfield of a dragged card (DragStop).

Thank you.

Hi Volker,

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion support.

We have prepared a sample to read out the card details from cardClick and DragStop events and the same can be available in following link.

Sample: https://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/support/forum/157933/ze/SfKanbanGetArgs1077748655

Currently we need to Deserialize the arguments in application end, Since it is an object type. Also, we considered this as defect and we logged the below defect report. The fix for this defect will be included in out upcoming volume 3 release which is expected to roll out on end of September 2020. We would appreciate your valuable patience. You can track the status through the below feedback link.

Kindly try the above sample and get back to us, If you need further assistance.

Satheesh Kumar B

Hi Vinitha,

your solution for drag&drop did work up to v18.2.059, but now it doesn't work any longer since version v18.3.035.

After a drag&drop I can't find changed values for the new swimlane-ID and new progress-status of a dragged task using DragEventArgs.
There is only the unchanged task-data in the generic type list, but nothing that indicates the new swim-lane or the new progress-status after dropping.

Please have a look:

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Volker

Hi Volker,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

We had made some breaking changes in Kanban and included with our Volume 3 release to meet the Blazor standards. Accordingly, we have ensured these breaking changes in our previously updated sample. But unfortunately, we are not able to replicate the reported problem and the DragEventArgs provides the proper data in DragStop event.

We suspect that the processing based on the event argument may cause this issue. We prepared a sample based on the shared code. Could you please check the below sample for more reference?

The above requested details help us to validate the exact issue and provide the proper solution quickly.

  • Share the OnDragStopAsync method’s full code snippet
  • Share us the video demo of the reported problem that help us to validate the proper issue details.

Vengatesh

Hi Vengatesh,

thank you for the support.

I reduced (and corrected) your example to this minimalistic version:

init:

When I drag now Alice' task 1 to Bob's progress tasks this is what I get as args-output:

So that is exactly the same meaningless statement about new swimlane/progress than in my own solution I posted yesterday.
We neither know the target progress nor the target swimlane of the dropped task analysing DragEventArgs args.

Any idea?

Cheers,
Volker
