Pivot elements are not active in exported Excel if FieldCaption differs from FieldHeader

I defined pivot items having a FieldCaption that differs from FieldHeader. E.g.:

<syncfusion:PivotItem FieldMappingName="Country" FieldCaption="CountryCap" FieldHeader="CountryHeader" TotalHeader="Total"/>

If I use the Excel export function this item will be added to the exported pivot table in the Excel file, but it is not selected there. It can be manually selected in the Excel file and then it will be displayed, so actually nothing is lost.
But if it's a bigger pivot table where all pivot items are having different FieldCaption compared to FieldHeader, the exported pivot table is empty first and I have to select all items manually which can be quite some work.

I used this test project from another thread where I could reproduce this issue just by adding  FieldCaption with a value differing from FieldHeader:

Hi  Harald,

Thank you for your update.

Query :  But if it's a bigger pivot table where all pivot items are having different FieldCaption compared to FieldHeader, the exported pivot table is empty first and I have to select all items manually which can be quite some work.

We have checked the reported problem that exported pivot table is not automatically selected with PivotGrid on setting the different fieldcaption compared to fieldheader. But we are unable to reproduce this problem at our end. Please find the modified sample and also taken the video for the same

So please check this sample, video and let us know whether our replication steps is same as yours. If not, kindly provide us the video shows your exact requirement and also provide your currently using syncfusion product version, so that we can able to proceed further on this.

Hi!

When I'm using the provided sample without changing anything in the code the result is the same as described in my original message. That means the exported excel file looks different to the one attached to your last posting.
Also I couldn't find the mentioned video there, is this maybe missing in your post? But I guess there is not so much that can go wrong using that function :)
I'm using version 18.1460.0.36

Hi  Harald,

Thanks for the update.

We have checked the reported query “Pivot fields are not added in the excel file and Pivot table becomes empty” in your reported version 18.1.0.36. But we are unable to reproduce the reported issue in our end. As per the current implementation in the pivot table, we have checked the FieldHeader value in the pivot item. If it is null, we have checked the FieldCaption. Both values are null, we have assigned the FieldMappingName value.

Defined pivot fields are added in the pivot table properly. For example, I have added the Country in PivotColumns and Product in PivotRows.

Both fields are selected in the exported excel file.

Yes. We have missed to include the video in the previous update.

Hi,

thanks for providing the video.
I also attached a video and as you can see the steps and the source are exactly the same, but the result is different.
Could maybe the Excel version cause the difference? We are using Excel 365 Version 2007 (Build 13029.30344)

Thanks, Harald
