Using a function instead of calling Save/Remove Service [Upload/Angular]

Hi,

We are using a Content Management System that allows us to use an Angular wrapper to control functions such as upload. Can we configure to call a function within the component [ like UploadFile(FileList) ] instead of calling an external service?
