Blazor Data Grid sorting does not work when in mobile view

Hi,

I'm using Data Grid with latest v18.2.56.
I noticed that the Sorting does not work when in mobile view in Chrome.
It used to work back in v18.1.xx
Please see the gif below:
It's made with just the basic sample code provided in the Data Grid documentation.

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion support.  
 
Query: “I noticed that the Sorting does not work when in mobile view in Chrome.” 
 
We have analyzed the reported query along with the GIF image attached. To validate the reported issue at our end, we have prepared a WASM sample using 18.2.0.56 (Syncfusion.Blazor) Nuget and our UG documentation on sorting with FrozenColumn property to freeze the OrderID column. We have ensured the reported issue in Chrome browser (85.0.4183.83 (Official Build) (64-bit)) in normal mode as well as mobile mode.  
 
We are able to sort the column in Grid with out any error. We are not able to reproduce the reported issue at our end. Please find the sample and video demonstration from below  
 
 
 
If you are still facing the issue, kindly get back to us with following details.  
 
  1. Share your Browser version.
  2. Share the Grid code example.
  3. Are you facing the issue on mouse click or while touching the column header in mobile mode.?
  4. If possible share the issue reproducible sample or try to reproduce the reported issue in provided sample.
 
Above requested details will be helpful for us to validate the reported issue at our end and provide solution as soon as possible.

Hello Vignesh,

Thank you for your quick and detailed reply!
I am using the same latest chrome version and my grid code is almost exactly the same.
However now I realized what the difference was.
In my code I had enabled AllowReordering="true" for the SFGrid component

For some reason, when this is enabled, the sorting in mobile view no longer works.
Personally for me the solution is simply just to remove the AllowReordering="true" since I no longer need it.

However I'm curious if you can experience the same thing if you add AllowReordering="true" in your code.
It seems a conflict between "sorting" and "reordering" operations while in mobile view.

Yes, we are able to reproduce the reported issue at our end when enabling the Column Reordering feature in Grid. We have considered it as bug and logged the defect report for the same “Sorting is not working in touch devices with column Reordering” . Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping us improve our product. Fix for the issue will be included in our weekly patch release which is expected to be rolled out by end of September 2020.
