Press Delete while inline editing cause row delete

Question

If I am inline editing a row and I hit the delete key to delete some text, it attempts to delete the row. If I am editing a row the delete key should just delete any selected texted within the column and not think that I want to delete the row. How can I get the delete key to react this way?

We have validated the reported issue and we are able to reproduce the reported behavior at our end. We have considered it as bug and logged the defect report for the same “Not able to delete a value while editing a record in Grid” . Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping us improve our product .Fix for the issue will be included in our weekly patch release which is expected to be rolled out on or before 16th September 2020.
