Whats the in-place editor for ?

Question

Whats the difference between all the in-place editors and the "normal" controls (textbox ect)
Have a hard time understanding what the different usecases where one would choose on or the other (and why).

Greetings from Syncfusion support. 
 
The in-place editor’s use case is different from normal controls. It is mainly used to edit the fields inline, where need to edit single fields dynamically. If the requirement reflects the changes in the server immediately. The in-place editor renders the controls on editing the fields when interacting with it 
 
The normal controls used inside a form which displayed on render itself.
