Formatting and Displaying of Value

In the linear gauge thermometer, we cannot get it to format.  In fact, the example in the docs doesn't even work here:


Go down to Label Format and choose preview.  The values are not currency formatted.  

So question 1, how do you get a thermometer label to format to currency?  
Question 2, how do you display the value?  I am using a pointer and I want the value of the bar to display as well.

Hi Mark, 

Please find the below response for your queries. 

Question1: how do you get a thermometer label to format to currency?   

We can add the format the label to currency format in the linear gauge using the “format” property in “labelStyle” property. We can add the currency format by using the “${value}”. The Symbol can be used either at the front of the value or after the value based on your requirement. Also, we will change the label format section in our documentation and it will be included in our upcoming release. 

Question 2: how do you display the value?  I am using a pointer and I want the value of the bar to display as well. 
 
We can add the pointer as well as bar pointer to the linear gauge using the “pointers” property in the gauge. We can drag the pointer and the bar using the “enableDrag” property in pointers. 

We have created the simple application to demonstrate the above two queries and it can be downloaded from the below sample link. 


We are checking on the tooltip on bar pointer query. We will update you with further details on 5th June, 2020.

Thank you.  I was able to do what I needed to do with annotations and pre-formatting the data. The tooltip would be nice to have fixed though.

Thank you for your patience. 

We have analyzed the reported issue of tooltip not rendering in the exact position. We have considered this as a bug and logged a defect report. We will include this in our upcoming Volume 2 Main Release which is expected to be rolled out on 29th June, 2020.
