Right Click Context Menu on Chrome

Hi, we are currently facing issues with some of our clients that are trying to use the grid context menus. this issue seems to be only with clients that are using Google Chrome as their browser, as when asking them to use Microsoft Edge, they are able to use the grid context menu.

We have asked them to try clear cache and cookies along with using Incognito Mode to see if there is a cache problem, both after clearing cache and cookies and using Incognito mode, the context menu does not show for them.

We have also asked them to use our application on another device where this issue does not occur.

The set up of the grid is as follows:
  • grouping with enable drop area as false
  • paging with a page count of 1 and a page size of 1000
  • Sorting with a default sort on a date column descending
  • Filtering with Filter type of Excel
  • Selection with selection type of multiple
  • Persistence enabled
  • context menu with custom context menu properties
  • Toolbar with the search bar within
The version of Syncfusion used on the application is 16.4.0.54 on EJ1 installed through NuGet.

Are you able to suggest any solutions in which might help in resolving this issue.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

Greetings from Syncfusion Support.

We are unable to reproduce the reported issue at our end. For your convenience we have created the sample by enabling the shared setup, refer to the below sample link.

From the shared setup, we could see that you have enabled persistence. So, we suggest you to change the grid ID and check whether the context menu is displayed Or not. Still facing an issue, kindly get back to us with the below details.

  1. Share the complete grid code example.
  2. If possible, reproduce the issue in the shared sample Or share the issue reproducible sample.
  3. Confirm whether are you receiving any script error in the console. If yes, please share the stack trace.
  4. Share the video demonstrating the reported issue.

Provided details, will help us to resolve the reported issue as early as possible.

Hi

Thanks for getting back in touch. I understand that it is a difficult one to determine.. we are struggling to work this one out too.

There is no errors in the google chrome console when a user right clicks therefore there is no stack trace errors that i can provide for you guys.

I have added to this a zip which contains the cshtml markup for the page and the partial page that the application uses along with a screenshot.

In the screenshot you can see that there is a red circle around a small white dot which is appearing for them. Again this is only occurring for a minority of users as the vast majority can use this functionality with ease.

I Hope this helps you guys.

We have asked that they Update their chrome along with clearing cache, cookies, local storage and session storage with no prevail.

Thanks

Paul
